Combining use of all our practice facilities, a range card (20baskets of balls) and a lesson with me; it's an ideal way to kick start your game. Conifers Golf Academy swings into action at Cowdray!


Local School Conifers has now got it's own Golf Academy..
Katie went into the school and conducted 2 indoor Tri-golf lessons
for the pupils. They all loved it and now come up on a
Thursday in the new school mini bus to learn with real clubs!

GETS HER LET TOUR CARD FOR 2010 SEASON.

In December 2009 I went with her to Qualifying school in La Manga,Spain. She played really solidly all 7 rounds. Amazing stuff. Finished at -5 and 11th place on her own. 4th Amateur. So she made it!!! I think it is slowly sinking in for her!
All I can say is Congratualtions Hannah you thouroughly deserve it and I am so proud... of you! Watch out LET here she comes!!!!

I was caddy and coach all trip, making sure she was eating and drinking as she played and keeping her laughing!!

Katie runs Indoor golf lessons for the
Girls Allowed Group, run by Claire Madigan
Southampton Sports Development.

"On Saturday 28th Feb 09, I taught 38 girls at the Cantell School,
most of which had never played before.
A great intro to the game for them and hopefully they will
come up to the Muni for some lessons in the future.
THIS IS PRIOR TO THE START OF
"CITY GIRLS GOLF SCHOOLS INVASION!!" -
A big project for me at the moment- working alongside Esme Ferguson and Claire Madigan of Southampton City Council Sports Development- is a bid to get girls in secondary schools playing golf. We aim to go into the local schools and deliver indoor intro golf sessions with the hope many will continue playing. Keep checking for our progress!!

INDOOR GOLF WITH KATIE

I am available for group lessons indoors with special SNAG golf equipment!
It gives a taste of golf and you can learn all the basics without having to step foot outside, perfect when the weather is like it is sometimes!
Many of the children I have taught in schools with this system have come along to the group lessons (some are now members of clubs!)
and pursued their love for the sport!
The secret is to keep it as fun as possible
and this applies to the ladies golf too!
